Scratch Conference 2016

It was a great honour to have out proposal accepted for the 2016 Scratch Conference at MIT. Not only to share out work with other educators from around the world but to meet and connect with some many different people and organisations. The biennial Scratch Conference is took place this summer and this years theme of Creative Pathways a playful gathering of educators, researchers, developers, and other members of the worldwide Scratch community.

Amazing work from PBSkids and their Scratch Junior App.  We have used scratch junior in our workshops with schools and young learners (grade 2, 6-7 years old). The addition of the PBS TV characters enables further interest and engagement. PBS Kids APP

Snap! (formerly BYOB) is a visual, drag-and-drop programming language. It is an extended reimplementation of Scratch that allows you to Build Your Own Blocks. It also features first class lists, first class procedures, and continuations. These added capabilities make it suitable for a serious introduction to computer science for high school or college students.
